Del Maguey Single Village "Minero" Santa Catarina Minas Mezcal (Oaxaca, MX)

Del Maguey was the first producer to introduce artisanal mezcal to the world, starting in 1995. Handcrafted by Zapotec and Mixtec farmer families, each bottling represents and celebrates a different village. The "Minero" mezcal is made in Santa Catarina Minas (also known as the "cradle of Mezcal"). On the nose, look for notes of granite and fig. The palate is luscious with notes of citrus, honey, green herbs, and a pronounced smokiness.
