    FAQs

Alcohol has a lot of shipping limitations – but we're experts at it! Contact our team to talk through your needs and we can pull some expedited rates for you!

Our shipping rates are based on 750ml bottles. Large-format bottles may incur additional costs. Please contact us to learn more.

Due to the laws restricting the shipments of alcohol, we currently cannot ship wine to Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Utah.

We are permitted to ship to a limited number of zip codes in the following states: Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island + Texas. Contact us to inquire about these zip codes.

Yes. By placing your order, you expressly represent to The Urban Grape South End, LLC (“The Urban Grape”, “we”, “our”) that you and the person who accepts delivery are at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Shipments containing alcohol are sent with an “Adult Signature Required” sticker, and the third party common carrier delivering our merchandise is required to check identification upon delivery. This requires that the person receiving delivery will be required to show identification confirming that they are at least twenty-one (21) years old. If no person at least twenty-one (21) years of age is present at time of delivery, the package will not be left. Because a third party common carrier is responsible for delivery, you expressly acknowledge and agree that

The Urban Grape is not responsible for the delivery of alcohol to underage persons.

The Urban Grape suggests that you refrain from shipment during extremely hot or cold weather. Not all common carriers have temperature-controlled warehouses. If you must request shipping during extreme weather conditions, we encourage you to place your order at the beginning of the week using a faster service than ground to avoid weekend layovers in a common carrier’s warehouse. The Urban Grape reserves the right to delay releasing merchandise to the third partycommon carrier for shipment in order to ensure that the products you receive are of the highest quality possible.

The Urban Grape strives for customer satisfaction and if there is a problem with your order, please contact us.

The Urban Grape will only accept returns of defective wines that are flawed by cork, and not wines damaged by temperature or other factors outside our control. Any returns are at the customer’s expense and within thirty (30) days of receipt of the order. Orders refused, canceled, or otherwise requested as a return after the order is sent to a third party common carrier for delivery will incur a restocking fee of 15%. Fees assessed for payment to the third party common carrier are non-refundable. While we work with our wholesale partners to ensure that the wine you receive is of the finest quality, wine more than ten (10) years old cannot be guaranteed in any way.

Title to all items purchased from The Urban Grape is passed to the purchaser in Massachusetts. By placing an order with The Urban Grape, upon tendering full payment and Massachusetts sales tax you expressly agree to assume title to the merchandise in Massachusetts. All items must be paid in full prior to arrangements for delivery. The Urban Grape’s performance obligation under the purchase agreement for the sale of wine is complete upon tendering the merchandise to a third party carrier for transportation and delivery.

Many states regulate shipment of wine into their jurisdictions and may limit the amount of wine that can enter the state without permits or licenses. By placing an order with The Urban Grape, you expressly represent and warrant that you have reviewed any pertinent local and state laws and regulations before purchasing wine on this website and that your purchase complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

The Urban Grape makes no representation as to the legality of any shipment outside of Massachusetts, and does not assume any responsibility for obtaining any necessary licenses or permits.

The Urban Grape does not provide shipping services. If you wish to have your purchase shipped, The Urban Grape will arrange with a third party common carrier to ship on your behalf. Unfortunately, common carriers may not deliver alcohol to all states – those states have been removed from the shipping options at checkout. Note also that common carriers cannot deliver alcoholic beverages to a PO, APO, or FPO box. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

By arranging for transportation of alcoholic beverages by a third party carrier, The Urban Grape is acting at your direction, as purchaser and title holder of the products purchased. By asking The Urban Grape to arrange for transportation and delivery on your behalf, you expressly represent and warrant that you are acting in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages, and that you have obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, are working through properly licensed intermediates where required, are legally entitled to take possession of the alcoholic beverages, are legally entitled to take the quantities ordered, will comply with any applicable tax laws, and that you and the person accepting delivery of the alcoholic beverages are at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

All shipping costs, including insurance, assessed by the third party carrier are to be paid by purchaser. Transportation arrangements for rare or expensive items may require an insurance premium. The Urban Grape provides transportation coordination as a complimentary service and does not profit from such delivery arrangements. The Urban Grape makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the transportation or delivery by the third party common carrier.
