2017 Domaine Les Monts Fournois Côte Mesnil-sur-Oger Grand Cru Extra Brut (Champagne, FR)

A sophisticated and refined wine, enhanced by the influence of impoverished chalky soil, resulting in a remarkably intense and precise character. The lees contribute to a subtle creamy texture, accompanied by notes of lemon zest, wicker, and perfume. Reminiscent of the style found in Chablis, this wine is gracefully slender, offering immediate pleasure on the palate. The 2017 vintage exudes great elegance, a testament to the assurance derived from the Mesnil sur Oger terroir.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Domaine les Monts Fournois

Juliette Alips, born into a grower’s family in Champagne, quickly found her passion for winemaking. Under the guidance of her cousins, Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, she mastered the craft of champagne production. After graduating from enology school in Beaune in 2020, Juliette gained experience with renowned producers like Louis Latour in Bourgogne, G.D. Vajra in Piedmont, and Louis Roederer Champagne.
