Vibrant and fragrant scents, marked by a prominent mineral quality reminiscent of damp limestone and hints of orange zest. The taste is akin to crisp strawberry with a subtle touch of mint, followed by refreshing citrus and a lush mid-palate. The wine culminates in a lively, invigorating, and mouthwatering finish.

    About The Varietal

    Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a dark-skinned grape variety of French origin cultivated in numerous wine-producing regions across the globe. It is best recognized for its significant role as a red grape variety in the Loire Valley and as the third most important grape in Bordeaux. Cabernet Franc is also a common component in many of the world's finest Bordeaux blend wines.

    About The Producer

    Red Tail Ridge

Red Tail Ridge Winery specializes in limited-production wines, believing quality is more important than quantity. They produce small lots (sometimes less than 50 cases) to further preserve and enhance the varietal characteristics that they generate in the vineyard. Sensing the potential of the Finger Lakes wine region in the 90s, husband and wife Nancy and Mike established Red Tail Ridge in 2005 after purchasing undeveloped land the year prior. IT took them three years to plant the vineyards, which now have about 20 acres. Nancy and Mike have been challenging mainstream thinking with their plantings of nontraditional grapes in the Finger Lakes.
