2023 Field Recordings "Skins" Blend (Central Coast, CA) 5W

Calling all orange wine lovers! While not "orange" in the traditional sense, prolonged skin contact (hence the name) gives this wine a delightful heft and rich hue. Earthy on the nose, followed by apricot, tropical orange, marzipan, and spice notes. It pairs well with slow-cooked pork, soft Alpine cheeses, and your new favorite HBO series.

    About The Varietal

    White Blend

A white blend is a wine containing white grapes from more than one varietal. The most famous iteration of a white blend can be found in Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley, France. Other than France, white blends are commonly seen coming from California, South Africa, and Oregon.

    About The Producer

    Field Recordings

Winemaker Andrew Jones has a talent for discovering hidden gems—vineyards that are often overlooked but have immense potential. He focuses on crafting distinctive wines full of character and individuality. As a vine nursery fieldman, Andrew spends his days planning and planting vineyards across California, and occasionally, farmers offer him small lots of their finest fruit. With experience in nearly every vineyard on the Central Coast, he is passionate about finding and nurturing these underappreciated sites. Andrew creates limited amounts of soulful wine through his connections and opportunities from these unique, often unheralded vineyards.
