2022 Rouvalis Winery Tsigello (Peloponnese, GR) 4R

Tsigelo, a varietal clone of Mavrodaphni, the oldest grape on the Peloponnese, is Rouvalis' pride and joy. Aromas of fresh red fruit, rosemary, and eucalyptus leap from the glass, leading to a palate featuring refreshing acidity, velvety soft tannins, and a fruity finish.

    About The Varietal

    Mavrodaphne

Mavrodaphne, also known as Mavrodaphni, is a dark-skinned wine grape variety that originates from the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece. It is primarily used in the making of sweet, fortified wines, particularly in the coastal town of Patras.
