2022 Pierre Morey "Les Tessons" Meursault (Burgundy, FR) 6W

This airy white wine opens with a swirl of butter and baking spices, enveloping a core of juicy peach and melon flavors. It starts off soft and smooth, gradually building to a mouthwatering finish that lingers delightfully on the palate. Exactly what a Meursault should be.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Pierre Morey

The Morey family’s roots go back to the sixteenth century in Burgundy, with a presence in Meursault since 1793. For generations, the family has been involved in vineyard cultivation and winemaking. From 1988 to 2008, Pierre Morey served as Cellar Master at Domaine Leflaive, overseeing all technical aspects of vineyard management and winemaking. Today, he works alongside his daughter, Anne Morey, managing the domaine’s 10 hectares, which have been farmed biodynamically since 1997. Their vineyards include parcels in Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and Meursault.
