2022 Meinklang Roter Mulatschak (Osterreich, Austria) 1R

Zweigelt and St. Laurent play perfectly together in this juicy, quenchable [chillable!] red. Wild berries and bright sour cherry dance with savory herbs, peppery notes and wildflowers. Did someone say porch pounder??

    About The Varietal

    Zweigelt

Zweigelt, Austria's indigenous grape variety, finds possibly its finest expression in Burgenland. It produces deep red, spicy wines with good aging qualities. A classic Austrian Zweigelt is characterized by a rich color, showcasing a deep, bright core of spiced cherry and raspberry flavors. The finest examples of Zweigelt have the potential to age well for a decade or so, but the majority are best consumed within a few years of release.
