2022 Gary Farrell "Russian River Selection" Chardonnay (Sonoma County, CA) 9W

A zesty chardonnay with aromas of nectarine, honeysuckle, and brioche. On the palate the wine is rich and exudes notes of roasted lemon, tangy grapefruit, and toasted oak. Try this Chardonnay with a buttery Lobster Roll!

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Gary Farrell

Theresa Heredia, a third-generation Mexican American winemaker, joined Gary Farrell in 2012 after years of experience at Joseph Phelps’ Freestone Vineyards on the Sonoma Coast. Known for her expertise in small-lot, single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Theresa deeply understands Gary Farrell Winery's signature style, which focuses on elegance and balance. In 2012, she was recognized as a "Winemaker to Watch" by the San Francisco Chronicle, and in 2020, she was a finalist for Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Winemaker of the Year.
