With over 40 years in Napa Valley, the Brown family has taken a sustainable, integrated approach to their practice. This fabulous Zinfandel is rich and complex, with aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries, and stone fruit. On the palate, layers of red and black fruit give way to notes of orange peel and guava, with hints of smoked meat. This silky, seamless wine would pair beautifully with a braised short rib, barbecue fare, hoisin chicken, or steak on the grill.
About The Varietal
Zinfandel, affectionately known as "Zin" in the United States, is a dark-skinned red wine grape variety extensively cultivated in California. It was introduced to the Americas from Europe in the early 19th century and quickly gained popularity in both Napa and Sonoma counties, where it continues to be a prominent and successful variety today.

About The Producer
Brown Estate Vineyards is the first Black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley. Siblings Coral, Deneen, and David Brown run the Estate on the farm their parents purchased in the 1980s. The Brown family won the Napa County Historical Society award for restoring these vineyards. After watching their parents bring this farm to life, the Brown siblings decided to try their hand at winemaking! Brown Estate was officially established in 1996 when they harvested their first bottling of Brown Zinfandel, their flagship wine.
