Ripe black cherry and violet in equal measure on a lifted nose. The palate is succulent and juicy with a plump core of red fruit. Saline and savoury with a little cedar towards the finish. Plump and forward on the finish, it is drinking well at a relaively early stage but shows great promise for aging!
About The Varietal
A red Bordeaux blend primarily consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, supplemented by smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot, with Carmenere occasionally included. While the term naturally applies to red wines from Bordeaux, it is also suitable for wines produced beyond the region, such as those from California, Washington, Argentina, and other locations.
