2020 Beaumont Wines "Bot River" Chenin Blanc (Western Cape, SA) 6W

Beaumont wines is a family run winery that sits on an old Dutch farmstead originally built by the Dutch East India Company in the 1700s. Today in the hands of Jayne and Raoul Beaumont the winery is an icon for classic expressions of signature South African wines. Dry, crisp, and refreshing with a beautiful nose of honeysuckle, daisy, and graphite.

    About The Varietal

    Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc, a flexible white wine grape type, has a history of cultivation in France for almost 1300 years. It is predominantly linked with France's Loire Valley but also produces some of South Africa's finest white wines

    About The Producer

    Beaumont Wines

Beaumont, nestled in Bot River, Overberg, boasts a rich history dating back to the 1700s when the Dutch East India Company established it. Jayne and Raoul Beaumont breathed new life into the farm in 1974, pioneering its transformation into a vineyard. Jayne's artistic flair led to the creation of the first Beaumont Pinotage, marking the beginning of a legacy that continues today. Their son Sebastian and his wife Nici have since taken the reins, infusing the farm with their creative vision. They uphold the family tradition alongside their three children, blending a passion for wine with a commitment to sustainable farming. The farm's historic charm, coupled with modern touches, welcomes visitors to experience the essence of Beaumont; with Jayne's continued involvement and the addition of a deli, the Beaumont story evolves, embracing family, tradition, and innovation.
