2019 Maison Pascal Clement "La Cree" Rully (Burgundy, FR) 5W

Located directly south of the Côte-de-Beaune, Rully offers an amazing value for lovers of Burgundy. Les Crée (a named vineyard) is composed of primarily clay with marked content of stone. Because of this, wines from Les Crée tend to be much more mineral-driven than neighboring vineyard sites. This wine distinguishes itself with aromas of “hedgerow flowers” such as acacia, hawthorn, honeysuckle, very fine elderberry, or violet, lemon, white peach or flint. With time, it develops notes of honey, quince, dried fruits. On the palate, it is fruity, a lively, rounded, rich and lingering fruitiness: all the freshness and smoothness of marble.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.
