2017 Hertelendy Mountain Blend (Napa Valley, CA) 7R

The 2017 Signature Mountain Blend, aged in 90% New French and Hungarian Oak barrels, is a remarkable representation of our Estate Rockwell Ridge Vineyard, harmoniously blended with fruit from Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill, and Atlas Peak. Comprising 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, this limited case production predominantly features grapes from our Rockwell Ridge estate vineyard, nestled just 35 feet below the Howell Mountain AVA. Critics hail it as a "beautiful wine that explodes from the glass," and it has earned the moniker "The Gem of Napa Valley" over the years. With only 150 cases crafted, we're excited to share this exquisite wine from our Estate with you.

    About The Varietal

    Bordeaux Blend

A red Bordeaux blend primarily consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, supplemented by smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot, with Carmenere occasionally included. While the term naturally applies to red wines from Bordeaux, it is also suitable for wines produced beyond the region, such as those from California, Washington, Argentina, and other locations.
