2016 Far Niente Dolce Late Harvest (Napa Valley, CA)

2016 Far Niente Dolce Late Harvest (Napa Valley, CA)

‘Liquid gold from Napa Valley’, Dolce is the only winery in the US that is dedicated to producing a single late harvest sweet wine. Impressive acidity balances the sweetness of the wine and indicates its ageability.

Late harvest wines take patience and this wine has been painstakingly crafted since 1985. Beyond that, in order to create a wine with the qualities of Dolce, it takes land that seemingly was designed for the very purpose. Land with a combination of gravel, volcanic ash, loam and clay which has been formed over thousands and thousands of years. At Dolce, they like to believe that whatever force was behind the formation of this land had their 20 acres at the southern end of the Napa Valley in mind for something truly special.
