NV Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne (Champagne, FR)

Established in 1729, Ruinart stands as the inaugural Champagne House, a pivotal reference in the world of champagne. The visionary monk Dom Thierry Ruinart is credited with the foundation of this historic Champagne House. Renowned for its historical significance and architectural brilliance, the Ruinart chalk quarries earned the distinction of a historic site in 1931 and achieved UNESCO World Heritage status in 2015.

This blend achieves a harmonious mix of freshness and smoothness, with each terroir's distinctive chardonnays adding to the blend's complexity.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Dom Ruinart

Dom Thierry Ruinart was a humble and visionary Benedictine monk who lived from 1657 to 1709 during the reign of Louis XIV. A gifted theologian and historian, he left Champagne at 23 to join the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés near Paris, where he encountered a more sophisticated lifestyle and learned about a new “wine with bubbles” favored by young aristocrats. On September 1, 1729, Nicolas Ruinart drafted the founding charter of Maison Ruinart in Reims, creating the world’s first champagne-producing company.
