All of Cantera Negra's tequila are small-batch and winners of either gold, silver, or bronze medals at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits competition. Founded over 40 years ago, it was first brought to the US in 2015.

This tequila has been described as similar to some of the finest bourbons. After a minimum of 48 months in oak, this spirit is extremely smooth oak, vanilla, and caramel notes show intensely on the nose and palate.
