2022 Michel Delhommeau "Cuvee Saint-Vincent" Sur Lie Muscadet (Loire Valley, FR) 4W

Michel Delhommeau's Muscadet is a true expression of its Loire Valley origins. Aromas of green apple and citrus zest lead to a palate filled with crisp green pear, lemon, and briny minerality. Its extended lees aging adds complexity and a creamy texture, making it an excellent partner for oysters and other fresh seafood.

    About The Varietal

    Melon de Bourgogne

Melon de Bourgogne, known as Melon in the United States, is the white grape variety closely associated with the Muscadet appellation situated in the western Loire Valley.

    About The Producer

    Michel Delhommeau

Michel and Nathalie Delhommeau, a young couple renowned for crafting exceptionally clear Muscadets, cultivate some of their vineyards with old vines dating back to pre-World War II. In their process of converting to organic certification, their estate stands out in the region as one of the few that practices parcel-specific vinification and employs indigenous yeast. The winemaking process is straightforward but not simplistic—no elaborate techniques are employed. Grapes are harvested, gently crushed, undergo natural fermentation, and then the wines undergo an extended winter maturation until March.
