About The Varietal
Passerina is a historic and traditional white grape variety employed in the production of white wines from the Marche wine region in central Italy. The wines produced from Passerina grapes exhibit ripe citrus fruit characteristics. In Marche, these wines tend to be sharp with a pronounced minerality, while on Italy's west coast in Lazio, they are softer with an almost creamy texture.
