2022 Field Recordings "Hoss" Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles, CA) 5R

Fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon, not a phrase you hear everyday. The Hoss is just that, lean, mean, and fruity. Clocking in at only 5R, it is not your average Cabernet! It is showing some wonderful, integrated oak touches. A Cabernet for enjoying now!

    About The Varietal

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Frequently linked with Bordeaux wine blends and Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is a grape variety that has achieved global popularity. This is largely attributed to its coveted blend of black fruit scents, firm tannins, and vibrant acidity.

    About The Producer

    Field Recordings

Winemaker Andrew Jones has a talent for discovering hidden gems—vineyards that are often overlooked but have immense potential. He focuses on crafting distinctive wines full of character and individuality. As a vine nursery fieldman, Andrew spends his days planning and planting vineyards across California, and occasionally, farmers offer him small lots of their finest fruit. With experience in nearly every vineyard on the Central Coast, he is passionate about finding and nurturing these underappreciated sites. Andrew creates limited amounts of soulful wine through his connections and opportunities from these unique, often unheralded vineyards.
