2021 Mortellito Calaiancu Bianco (Sicily, IT) 6W

This pale lemon wine has a zesty nose with notes of salted apricot, citrus peel, and green herbs. On the palate, it offers a delightful mix of saline accents, lemon-drop sweetness, and lemon grass, finishing with a touch of tangerine-like sweetness. The result is a bright, vibrant, and beautifully balanced wine.

    About The Varietal

    Catarratto

Catarratto is a white grape variety originating from Sicily, an island located off the southern coast of Italy. It is primarily utilized in crafting approachable, white wines that are easy to enjoy. Although it is mostly grown on the island itself, Catarratto is one of Italy's most widely cultivated grape varieties, accounting for approximately 60 percent of the island's total vineyard area.
