About The Varietal
Pelaverga, often referred to as "Pelaverga Piccolo," is a scarce red grape originating from the hills of Piedmont in northwestern Italy. Typically employed in the production of light-hued wines, Pelaverga imparts a unique strawberry aroma, placing it on the fruitier and more fragrant spectrum reminiscent of Pinot Noir. Frequently crafted into sparkling wines, these Pelaverga wines unveil a distinct and light-hearted facet of Piedmontese winemaking.
