2020 La Osa "Trasto" Tinto (Tierra de Leon, SP) 5R

This is a gorgeous wine with deep, dark berry flavors, savory, black olive notes, and a very firm, dry tannic finish. Medium-bodied but with enough tannic toughness to punch above its weight, pair this beautiful beast of a wine with wild boar, a thick steak, or some local chorizo.

    About The Varietal

    Prieto Picudo

Prieto Picudo is a unique dark-skinned red wine grape variety primarily cultivated in and around its native region of León in northern Spain. This grape is employed to craft a diverse range of wines, including light rosés and deeply pigmented reds. It is featured both as a single-variety wine and as part of blends, often with Tempranillo or Mencia.
