This Nuits wine has a distinctly earthy aroma with notes of vanilla bean. On the palate, it offers smoky, velvety-textured fruit, absent of tannins, yet balanced by its acidity. It's not a heavy wine, but concludes with a very refined Pinot expression.

The wine is a blend from fruits collected across five different climates (the Plateaux, Belles Croix, Fleurières, Brûlées, and the Chaliots) on the Henri Gouges estate, spanning 2 hectares (5 acres). All these plots are situated in the southern part of Nuits Saint Georges at the beginning of the hillside, featuring deep soils composed of clay, alluvium, and limestone gravels. These wines, known for their purity and generosity, require a few years to age before they fully reveal their true character.
