Spring is Springing. We know this because we’re making room for rosés on the wine wall, and we’re gearing up for a busy season by adding floor staff positions! If you want to work at UG, please read our job listing below and email a cover letter and resume to the attention of Hadley Douglas as soon as possible!

The Urban Grape is an award-winning wine, craft beer, and spirits store located in Boston’s vibrant South End neighborhood. UG is the first store in the world to utilize Progressive Shelving, a unique system of organizing wines by their body, rather than varietal or region. Progressive Shelving allows our staff to help customers pick the perfect wine for their palate by encouraging them to explore regions, varietals, producers, and price points all while staying in their wine comfort zone. Because we sell craft beer, artisan spirits and sake, a broad base of knowledge is encouraged.

We are looking for dynamic and energetic floor staff for our team, both full and part time positions. Applicants must have experience in a wine retail setting. Some advanced education like WSET or the Elizabeth Bishop School at BU is preferred. Must have full shift availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants who can sell both affordable bottles and high-end wine are encouraged. This is first and foremost a sales position.

Many of our floor-staff employees take on additional roles within the company; therefore, growth opportunities are available for a motivated employee. Full time employees work 38-40 hours per week, part time employees work approximately 25 hours a week. Full time employees are eligible for health care and 401K.

To apply, applicants must send a cover letter and resume. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
