A priest, a rabbi and a minister walk into The Urban Grape and say, “Hey! They have something for everyone here!”  The Urban Grape is proud to offer an extensive line of Kosher and Mevushal wines.  We offer these wines at all price points and all year round. L’Chaim!

Here are some of our favorite Kosher and Mevushal wines at the store right now:

2010 Chateau Bellerives Dubois Bordeaux (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon) – $18

A wonderfully balanced red wine that focuses on the natural fruit flavors of the wine as opposed to the oak that dominates its more expensive counterparts. Soft flavors of blackberry and plum throughout.

2010 Teperberg Silver Late Harvest Riesling – $19

Delayed harvest of these grapes gives this riesling a natural richness to go along with flavors of honey and stone fruit, while six months in American oak barrels adds just a touch of vanilla to the finish.

2011 Dalton “Canaan” White (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling) – $19

Grown in the warm sunshine of the Mediterranean, this blend gives you the best of both worlds…pronounced fruitiness with a strong, balanced acidity. Great chilled on a hot day!

2010 Lan Zur Sauvignon Blanc

The Lan Zur Kosher Sauvignon Blanc from the Lontue Valley in Chile offers soft, round fruit flavors, balanced bright acidity and a smooth, refreshing finish. It’s a perfect go-to wine for casual dinner parties, barbecues and weeknight dinners at home.
