*7R* 2001 Bond Estate ‘Vecina’

$700.00 750 mL

There are no ‘Grand Cru’ vineyards in Napa, but Bond Estates – helmed by legendary Napa proprietor Bill Harlan – believes that if there were they would be in ownership of five of them. It is from these five vineyard sites that they make their most sought-after wines, one of which is the ‘Vecina.’ This wine is known for being intensely powerful and savory, with hallmark blackberry fruit, forest floor aromas, and striking minerality. The 2001 is a fantastic cellaring wine, thanks to its tight tannins and massive structure. As Parker said in his review – these wines may last 40 years, but none of us will ever be able to wait that long to drink them. That’s just how good they are.
