  • 5.22.17 GEEK OUT with UG: Insiders Wine Guide to Piedmont! 6:00-7:30PM

Piemonte (pee-ay-MON-tay), located in Northwestern Italy is best known for it’s budding food scene, great cycling and of course, the wines of Barolo and Barbaresco known as “the wine of kings” and the “king of wines”. While Barolo and Barbaresco are some of Piedmont’s most famous wines, they make up only around 3% of total production. Join Urban Affairs Chelsea Bell, freshly back from her trip as she shares the history, geography, and top producers found in Piedmont. Taste wines from indigenous grapes such as Arneis, Cortese, Dolcetto, Barbera and of course Nebbiolo and sip in why Piedmont is one of the world’s top wine regions! Buy your tickets before they sell out HERE!
*Free gift included with ticket purchase!
    *Must be 21+ to attend!

  • 5.25.17 A Night of Community with Childe Hassam Park! 5-8PM

We’re kicking off the weekend with one of our favorite public spaces – the freshly spruced up Childe Hassam Park – who we’ve paired up with for our Urban Community Program! Stop by to sample the Urban Community wines we’re featuring from Hogshead Wine Company (10% of the proceeds will go to the park) and peruse some artwork; then head across the street to enjoy some live music at Childe Hassam Park!

  • 5.26.17 Party-Ready Picks for the Weekend! 5-8PM

Matt from Genuine Wine Selections will be sharing some party-ready picks for Memorial Day Weekend! From mouthwatering Vinho Verde to juicy Tempranillo, these wines are perfect (and affordable!) for a day spent hanging out by the grill with friends.

  • 5.27.17 Canned Quaffers! 3-6PM

Going on a hike, a day at the beach, picnicking at a concert in the park: all the ingredients to a summer well spent. All that’s missing is a little vino. But is anything more awkward than packing a glass bottle into a backpack, only to drink that non-carbonated beverage out of a solo cup? Or the worst: you forget a corkscrew and before you can say stelvin screw top closure three times fast, you find yourself googling “How To Open Wine With A Shoe”. Don’t open wine with a shoe.

Insert: The Can. It’s packable, portable, and potable. Canned wine has never been better. Find your favorites this Saturday.

Private Events

At The Urban Grape, we live and breathe one fundamental principle: learning about wine should be fun. For us, that means gathering with friends, turning on some music, popping bottles, and engaging in some lively conversation.

Our passion for teaching our clients about wine led us to create Urban Affairs, a division of our company devoted exclusively to in-home and in-office wine tasting parties. Led by our energetic and enthusiastic educators, these two-hour tasting events are the ultimate in-home and in-office entertainment.
