Our regularly scheduled tastings are held on Thursday and Fridays from 5-8, and on Saturdays from 3-6.

  • 6.24.17 Pinot Camp at the Urban Grape! 3-6PM

    The camp of all summer camps, today Pinot Camp 2017 kicks off in Oregon and if you’re anything like us – you don’t want to miss out! So we’ve recruited UG’s very own Pinot aficionado, David Decter, to take us through a side by side of tasting of Oregon Pinot Noir! 6 different wineries, 3 different appellations, 1 beloved grape – we’re leaving no leaf left unturned!

  • 6.29.17 Spanish Cider Tasting with Ken Zuckerman! 5-8PM

    In the world of summer sparklers, sometimes we like to liven it up with a little sidra. Spain’s version of hard cider, sidra’s in a a league of it’s own. They’re a far cry from sweet American ciders; quite dissimilar from dry English ciders; and barely resemble France’s rustic ciders. Ken’s dramatically flavorful sidra offers the serious sour refreshment we need heading into July!

  • 6.30.17 Division Winemaking Company Tasting Lineup! 5-8PM

    Michael from MISE joins us with the highlight reel of Division Wines, an Oregon winery to put on your radar. Division Winemaking Co. is an artisanal winery based in Portland, OR who’ve garnered significant notice and acclaim for their minimally-manipulated wines that encompass all that is delicious, interesting and balanced. If you’re a fan of sustainably-farmed, terroir-expressive wine – then this is a tasting that can’t be missed!

  • 7.1.17 Sampler Saturday! Ecstatic for the Adriatic! 3-6PM

    If summertime wanderlust has got you vying for Europe’s glittering seasides then this July’s Urban Sampler is your passport for a staycation-ready cruise down the Adriatic Riviera. We’re uncovering the Adriatic’s best kept secrets beginning in Slovenia with stops along Italy’s Eastern Coast in the Marche, Abruzzo, and Puglia to taste wines grown where beach-worthy intersects with food-friendly. No matter the occasion, when the temperature sways into the 90’s these indigenous coastal varietals will have you ecstatic for the Adriatic!

  • 7.6.17 Summertime Knock-Outs! 5-8PM

    Brittney from Baystate joins us to pour a selection of crowd-pleasing favorites including Underwood Sparkling wines of Oregon, the a selection of our best-selling Stolpman wines, and Pepe Gallante’s Malbec.

  • 7.7.17 The Wines of Feudi di San Gregorio! 5-8 PM

    Established in 1986, Feudi di San Gregorio has become the standard-bearer for contemporary Southern Italian wine. Tucked away in Campania’s undiscovered Appenine foothills, the Irpinia region and is home to famous DOCG’s like Fiano di Avellina, Greco di tufo, and Taurasi, all boasting their own indigenous grapes. These powerful and enticing wines are sure to impress!

  • 7.8.17 You Say Ramato, I Say Rosato! 3-6 PM

    It’s another rosé tasting here at the Urban Grape! This time we’re going to help you decode that hue by exploring the pink color spectrum from light to dark and debunking the misconception that deeply-colored equates to sweet! These dry rosés range from the palest blush to full-bloom azalea and it all comes down to two things: skin-contact and time. Learn more this Saturday!

  • 7.13.17 Cider Tasting with Champlain & Artifact! 5-8 PM

    It’s a dual New England cider tasting with Allie from Champlain Cider of Shoreham, VT and Jimmy from Artifact Cider out of Everett, MA. As things heat up it’s time for one thing and one thing only – crisp, tart, apple-y deliciousness. Cider is the answer, and these craft offerings are some of our favorites!

  • 7.14.17 Bastille Day Celebration! 5-8 PM

    Bastille Day is a day for celebrating French culture and of course, French wine! Nick from Vineyard Road will be here pouring the wines from France’s most esteemed regions and producers! Crémant anyone?

  • 7.15.17 You Had Me At Grolleau! 3-6 PM

    Smitten with Saumur and sweet for Sancerre, let’s face it – we’re down right in love with the Loire! This Saturday join the UG staff for an adventure through the garden of France and taste through a lineup of their favorite picks, from Chenin to Sauvignon Blanc, Melon de Bourgogne to Cabernet Franc!

  • 7.17.17 Alice's Table: Rosé & Rose Blooms Event! 6:30PM

    Join us for a special rosé wine tasting and flower arranging class with Alice’s Table on July 17th! UG’S wine experts will lead the wine tasting, educating you about crisp summer rosé wines.     Raise a glass to the warm weather with one of these delicious budget-friendly bottles with Dan from Matchbook Wines! We’ll be cracking open crowd-pleasing wines like Chasing Venus Sauvignon Blanc, Mossback Cab, and the Arsonist – a reliable red blend that gives the Prisoner a run for it’s money!

    From North to South, Italy is one of the world’s most diverse wine countries. With every terroir proudly boasting its own native varietals, it can be hard to choose with so much variety! This Saturday, Stacey from Matchvino shows off a series of Italian white wines worth getting to know!

    Burg Alert! Ben from AP Imports joins us to with a collection of new Burgundies along with a few other new French wines we’re excited to share! We just can’t resist popping open these cellar must-haves!

  • 7.28.17 Charles Heidseick Champagne Tasting! 5-8 PM

    Calling all Champagne lovers! Katie from Folio is opening up three exceptional offerings from Charles Heidseick, including the Brut Reserve, Vintage Brut Champagne, and their unfathomably good tête de Cuvée – Blanc des Millénaires! C’est bon!

  • 7.29.17 Saturday Afternoon Two-fer! Bully Boy & Prospect Ciderworks! 3-6 PM

    It’s a double feature this Saturday! Newmarket neighbors Bully Boy and Prospect Ciderworks are joining forces here at the Urban Grape for a very special tasting with a focus on local spirits and cider!

At The Urban Grape, we live and breathe one fundamental principle: learning about wine should be fun. For us, that means gathering with friends, turning on some music, popping bottles, and engaging in some lively conversation.

Our passion for teaching our clients about wine led us to create Urban Affairs, a division of our company devoted exclusively to in-home and in-office wine tasting parties. Led by our energetic and enthusiastic educators, these two-hour tasting events are the ultimate in-home and in-office entertainment.
