NV Marsuret Prosecco Treviso Extra Dry (Veneto, Italy) *B*
This delicate and refreshing bubbly is the ultimate food friendly wine. Comprised of estate-grown Glera grapes from vineyards with chalky and clay soils, this is classic Prosecco at its best. Fermentation in stainless steel preserves notes of peaches and honey balanced with vibrant acidity. Not just for your brunch cocktails, its the life of the party. Holiday Tip: As an aperitif, a toast, and everything in between, it’s perfect to be enjoyed with all cuisines and occasions.
2016 Picollo Ernesto Gavi (Piedmont, Italy) *3W*
If you are looking for a fantastic crowd pleasing white to keep on hand in the fridge, this is your vino! The Picollo family really hit it on the nose, aromatically speaking, with refreshing notes of apricots and apples. Cold, continental Piedmont allows the Cortese grape to shine with bright minerality and crisp acidity. Holiday Tip: Who says you can’t drink white in the winter cold? We say go for it!
2016 Boutinot ‘Les Violettes’ Beaujolais Villages (Burgundy, France)*2R*
Gamay is having a big moment thanks to its light-bodied, easy drinking, and often pleasantly rustic. Boutinot sources their grapes from Cru vineyards, most notably the northern St. Amour. It has notes of soft, ripe cherry fruit and spice. The perfect accompaniment to a relaxing night. Holiday Tip: Beaujo’ pairs exceptionally well with roast dishes and fruit glazes. It balances meals that have a high sweetness factor with its earthiness.
2016 Chateau Cedre ‘Marcel’ Malbec (Cahors, France) *5R*
This French Malbec is medium bodied, incredibly concentrated, and the kind of wine you want to relax à la fireside on a chilly night. The Cahors region has the incredible terroir to produce a balanced Malbec of rich, dark fruit with earthy complexity. Holiday Tip: Bring and open immediately for your next holiday fête, it’s beautiful from the get-go!
